Hei there, my name is Hidin, and im an experienced gamer.
First abit about my self.
My gaming historie is somewhat extensive. Played wow in the old days got bored with that and started playing more competetive games, started with HoN where i maxed at 1900+, starcraft, diamond league (wasnt the best SC player), and dota i got into the very high skill bracket in under 2 weeks. Ive been playing with pros and very high skill lvl players in all the games and would call my self a pretty good gamer.
so My first impressions about this game.
This game has great potential, been playing a few days and i see alot of good things but also alot of things that lack. Lets start with match making.
First of i feel that this game needs a MMR system, i dont know if it has but i havent been able to find any information, other than you play with people around your own level, but at lvl 20 that would make unballanced games i would imagine since i could imagine peoples skill lvl would be all over the place and that could lead to very boring stomp games very often, which is not fun for the good or the bad players. Also, atleast for me, i like being able to see my stats, to tell if improving or not, but there is no way to see this, not winning %, not KDR, not points, not anything wich for me take abit of competetive edge away.
Also ive noticed theres different game modes, as when i hit 5 i suddenly got this game mode i had no idea what was going on, something about defenders and attackers, which is nice and all, but there was no introduction nothing, you just got threwn into it, and not even an option to choose mode which mean you are just thrown into a random game, which tbh annoyed me quite abit. I think being able to choose mode is a must, and annoyed me that there is no such option, atleast not that i could find.
Thats my thoughts on tmm atleast for now, this would be all fine or atleast alot better if there was a custom function.
Dont know if it comes later on but i doubt it from what i see, the ability to make custom games. Basicly makes the community kinda gimped for making any effort itself to make a competetive enviorment.
for example if there was a custom option you could create an IH league, and people would be able to create games make rankings etc and enjoy themself competeting against one another, but as it as now thats impossible, also scrimming or clanwars are also pretty impossible from what i gather, since there is no such option really feel that is a must have in this kind of game.
The forge shop altar etc, i feel that it could be improved but tbh it is not that bad, and easily tollerable, items are important but not impossible to get, and doesnt give a huge advantage, give a big true, but you can get it later so thats not that big a problem, or even throw abit money in it and get it faster, and crystals are not that expensive so thats good.
My final conclusion, a fun game, alot of great things and ideas, could be really good, but feel half done, and if it is not going to die, these things have to be made, (btw im also studying to be a game developer so i am not totally basing this on groundless things). this game is clearly meant for competetive gaming, so you need to implement the elements to support that.
