Greetings everyone, as it seems that September and the beginning of the Autumn Season with its new Grand League and Junior Series is still ages away, we would like to shorten the time by let you guys fight outside the common tournament circus. Welcome to The Lucky Seven tournament. Rules are simple: • Teams of seven players pitched against each other, 7 vs 7 • One map per round to dominate your opponents • Max level 7 As The Lucky Seven tournament has a level limitation for participants it’s ideal for new players as well. Have you ever wanted to test your strength as soon as you have entered Panzar? Well, now it’s your chance to show your skill and power. Team up with friends, or come alone and meet new ones to slaughter your enemies, and claim the reward that lies ahead. To sign up, either write your desire to battle on forums, or team up in a clan with friends, and sign the team via in-game tools. And the most favourite part, rewards. As you may guess, The Lucky Seven is all about this magical number! • Winner: 77 Crystals/Player • 2nd Place: 47 Crystals/Player • 3rd&4th Place: 17 Crystals/Player • 5th-8th Place: 7 Crystals/Player The tournament takes place on 20.08.2013 and 28.08.2013 at 19:00 CET (7 PM)! DISCLAIMER: As this is a casual tournament, and run for the first time as such, rules may change before the tournament, without prior notice. It’s highly advised to check tournament rules once in a while, to make sure you are up-to-date. |

I can forsee what will happen. Even if new players participate, our "professionals" will make their twins, get together and join the tournament leaving no chance to real "new players" who really need those 77 crystals. |

The first Lucky Seven have been found! Congratulations to the team Nr1 for the fun, from the clan ArmadA! We also want to thank all 16 teams for their participation; hopefully this allowed a lot of players to get a brief glimpse of Panzar tournament play. To us it was very exciting to see so many new teams, hopefully they can also make an appearance in the Autumn Season. :) Tomorrow we'll continue with the Win-A-Clan tournament - looks like there's very few participants around, so gather your crew quick and you'll stand a very good chance to claim your own clan! Sign up to the tournament here. As long as we get any teams together, we'll play it out, though next week we may then have two rounds of the Lucky Seven instead. Oh, one more thing: crystals have now been sent to everyone! Congratulations once more! Full results below: |

I can't think of much that can be done about that. Something similar happens in most MP games. It's more of an issue here because "pros" killing newbies on alts is going to make people whine about balance and, ultimately, quit. We need more players, not less. It is just nice to see tournaments and things being run though, plenty of games where they've been given up on. And congrats to the winner. |

Neither can I. Sure, nothing and nobody can forbid them participate. But, again, it's a question of politeness (almost forgotten by modern people): "pros" kill newbies is ok, still, they got lots of crystals, but don't want to give just a little bit to new players. Of course, it's such inspiring! That's what I wanted to say. |

I'm happy to have this discussion about the power teams. Like Zwergwerfer says, there are limits to what can be done; the veteran players will always have the upper-hand - and also very importantly, they must have a benefit of their experience. Otherwise the game would be little more than a lottery. That being said, we certainly want to encourage an equal playing field; best games are had between equal opponents. To work on this, we're testing out these casual tournaments (more sign-ups for the Win-A-Clan! please!), and of course the big change is for the next tournament season, where there'll be two levels of play. We hope this allows for less streamlined and less experienced teams to have meaningful games in the Junior Series, while the big guys duke it out in the Grand League. The robust promotion and demotion system between the leagues should ensure that teams will quickly be placed into the league that fits them the best. Also, the new structure hopefully provides more incentives for different levels of teams; some will only aim for the victory, while for some getting one go in the Grand League is a worthy goal. I hope we see a lot of activity in the Junior Series, make sure to get your teams together and join the tournament to experience the true form of Panzar! :) |
