Is this game similar to Team Fortress 2?
Is this game similar to Team Fortress 2, but with a fantasy twist? I really liked TF2, and always wanted a fantasy setting type of game. In TF2, there are 9 different classes that have to work together to accomplish a given task. On the website, this game in progress offers 5 classes, but it appears they can specialize into certain fields.
but am I wrong to think so?

Yes, we compare our game with TF2 only by gameplay feelings. The gameplay mechanisms is very different to TF2. You have to be to fluent and make quick decisions during a fight. Also we try to make enjoyable to replay every map over and over again. If you take TF2 fight pace/tactics and combine it with RPG elements you will get FBC. You are correct about specializing in certain field tasks for each class. Our classes is bit more complicated as in TF2 but it's complex enough to not become a professional keyboard pianist. You can choose your build depending on what type of game you like. Wanna be in a middle of a warfare - choose a Zar class. He is most fast and durable class. He can also have very powerful combat abilities to cut the distance to your opponents. Zar daemon offers most durable armors with lesser inventory weight. And so on. We will post detailed explanations with gameplay demonstrations for each class on our web site later. It is better to see it once than try to explain it 8).

Re: Is this game similar to Team Fortress 2?
I thought I'd make a post about it here cause it revolves around what games could be considered similar to Forged by Chaos.
I'd guess Savage 1/Savage 2 might be a close call. No idea if the dev team has checked them out, hopefully they have cause there are some blatant example of mistakes you can run into while trying to mix RPG with an FPS (though in Savage there's also the RTS part as well).
Would you consider Quake Wars to be close to FbC's Siege mode? Would be very interesting to hear what games the devs have played and what they've learnt from them.

Re: Is this game similar to Team Fortress 2?
@ Dragnarr: isnt Quake Wars a game in the FPS genre? Chances are the siege gameplay will only be similar in regards to the gamemode itself, and not how the actual mode will develop certain play styles and whatnot.
