New to the Game - a few frustrations and issues
Hello, i am currently new to the game, just level 3 with my Orc Berserker.
The game is nice, but as an Orc Berserker, i feel OP, 1 combo can kill an enemy, i just Right Mouse Click then go and cast finishing blow and thats it, instant kill, no matter how much health my opponent has left, i get scores like 20-7 , 11-2, etc...
Other issue that i have is that i get randomly instantly killed for no reason, i stand at full health, in front of the enemy spawn, ready to face the enemy head-on and preventing them from reaching the Objective, and at seemingly random times i get instantly killed.
The Mage classes feel underpowered, they dont deal enough damage to make a major difference in any game.
Granted im still new, but i still wanted to say these things.

Re: New to the Game - a few frustrations and issues
Berserkers may seem like OP at first, but it will pass. As soon as majority of new players will get used to game mechanics, they'll start to block more effectively. The power attack of a berserker is really slow and everyone can block it easily. Plus to it, tanks will start to counter your power attack with much quicker shield bash and another berserkers will get you with block+PA combo regularily. You'll see. Overall you'll need to be very elaborate and feel timings very well to land a sucessful power attack. And you'll really need to have a skill to play as a berserker on top level.
When player respawns he has buff of invulnerability and enormous bonus to damage. So this is why you getting instakilled. This was made in attempt to prevent overdominance of one team which can push weaklings right into spawn point and slaughter there with no chances.
And finally elven mages, both fire sorceress and frost witch, will make all the difference in game but little later, when they'll get their main spells to use. Witches are perfect controllers, invaluable to any team. And sorceresses are great damage dealers and pretty much the only way to get damned dwarfs out of their fortresses.

Why are the classes gender-locked?
I wanted to play a Female Warrior with a big badass sword and clad in plate armor.
Anyway, thanks for the reply, looks like ill level my Frost Witch, what should i level first? Any tips/tricks?

Re: New to the Game - a few frustrations and issues
This game is developed by a pretty small studio. Creating two genders for each race is double the work. So instead of the 3 different character models you have now, you'd have six characters to model, animate, make different sets of gear for, etc. For a small team like this scope is everything and I doubt having gender selection was above gameplay. As far as class balance goes, my main is a Frost Witch. At first it SUCKED, it was really painful. But after around level 3 when I started learning how to freeze, it became a ton of fun. Sitting at level 5 now (can't find any games for her late a night ) I have more abilities and she's by far my favorite class. Fire mage also starts to shine a little ways in. She can dish out absolute insane amounts of damage if you can aim her skulls class point ability. A coordinated Frost Witch + Sister of Fire can clear a point by themselves. The only class that I feel a bit lacking at 5 is my poor sapper. Not because he feels weak, I can take bezerkers 1v1 if I have my totem up, but I don't feel like they get enough point compensation for their support abilities. I can easily get top 3 on my frost witch, but with my sapper it takes a lot of kills and standing on the point nearly all the time, because my totem + teleporters don't get nearly as much as support from a kill on a frozen enemy.

Re: New to the Game - a few frustrations and issues
About the frost witch, I think someone was making a guide in english, so it should arrive any time soon. But best tip I can give is to SURVIVE. The effectiveness of witches bases on their ability to stay alive. Which requires blocking and running a lot. Always be aware of berserker's power attacks and tank's shield bash. Wear fire protection at all times if there's at least one sorceress in opponent's team. Playing with tank and from under his shield is very safe and solid strategy. Witches are epicenter of battle and you will notice that whole team is building the attack/defence around you. And as long as frost witch is alive the team is strong and dangerous, but as soon as she dies everything falls apart. So firstly try to stay alive, and everything else is secondly. It's always better to fall back and regroup than die and respawn.

Re: New to the Game - a few frustrations and issues
You can if your teammates are absolutely impotent. Or if situation forces you to it. But it generally advised for witch to leave frozen enemies for others to finish. They are easy targets and orcs can get a lot of class points from attacks AND killing blows. Berserkers after 20 level can also get rage stacks from killing and with many frozen targets it's very easy for them to max out their rage (which is their main ability). Witch on the other hand gets very little CP from attacks and gets nothing from killing.

Since level 4 you can chose what to take, gold or experience, or little of both. And you also have to get some resources for crafting and rune shards. These things and their quantity are based on score that you take in game. So it's possible that you gets none if your score is really low.

The witch is really weak creature, but Siren Scream and Cruel Split will be available from the tenth level. Both of them cause a strong damage to the frozen enemies and usually kill all exept orcs There is a lower bound of experience to which the award isn't given.
