Post State of The Game Past LV9
It is dead. The only time to play is "prime time" and it shouldn't be this way.

(TL;DR. Can skip to possible solution's 3 paragraph's down.)

I understand that the match making system work's wonderfully when there are more player's to pick from and their skill level's can be properly assessed but we are hurting for player's. If you look carefully the only player's online are the one's who've subbed. All your potential player's quit and this isn't your fault directly but the fault of the match making system at it's early stage. As of right now you'll lose me as a subscriber when my 30 day's are up.. not because your game is trash.. no your game is amazing.. but because you're not taking the proper measure's to bring new player's to your EU server many subscriber's have no choice. To be straight forward, it isn't a benefit and it isn't fun to pay for a game we can hardly play.

Your seasoned community is purposely staying in the lower bracket's to farm the new player's and you're allowing it. To be perfectly honest staying in the lower bracket with the best gear farming gold and resources is a very smart tactic because when the game does eventually flourish you'll have enough gold to fund your future advancement. This is only good for your seasoned community. Your new community want's to advance and see the rest the game has to offer but at the price of a longer queue time.

As I write this I'm in queue now and have been for over 30 minutes. Earlier today, as a lv 9, I went ahead and purchased some amulet's and completely advanced the gear I wasn't going to swap out at level 10 (Rune's and Enchantment's, all +4 to mastery. Around 1900 Mastery in total and plenty of HP which isn't essential to me because I'm always in my turret) and joined a match as a gunner... what I witnessed was disgusting. I felt like no one could touch me and my turret was only killable to other people with advanced gear.. and still it took them some effort. This is what is killing your game right now. For the record, I am now level 11 and I am no longer coming in contact with new player's. I am not so full of pride that I can't admit it was my gear that gave me this power.. my tactic's and playstyle didn't change.. just the gear I was wearing. Anyone who think's they're good right now and has access to the best available gear, amulet's, and rune's need's to stop spreading lies and admit the truth that we should not be playing with lesser equipped individual's. At 10+ the match's are AMAZING! Very close, very competitive.. but not frequent enough to be fun, it's a tease.

*Please realize that this is a trickle effect. Your seasoned player's give the new player's the idea that the game is all pay to win and discontinue play which leave's the subscriber's playing because they payed for it but have to deal with long queue time's or continue to farm the new player's. You need to kill the process.

You need to section off level's 1-3 and make amulet's and rune's only available at level 4 because level 4 is the first level which offer's gear you can buy with gem's. This will give new player's the chance to experience the game without being griefed. Since you have the gold/xp slider new player's can choose to stay within the 1-3 bracket until they have enough resources and gold to be confident enough to advance into the later level's OR they can remain in the 1-3 bracket. Please don't look at a player remaining in the 1-3 bracket as a bad thing.. people will want to witness the rest of the map's and features the game has to offer.. all the 1-3 bracket does is offer a prolonged "trial" of the game. It is very clear that you need a sub to truly enjoy this game.. which is fine.. but you're portraying the message in the wrong way. Right off the bat your new player's hate this game because they're being farmed by seasoned ones and immediately writing this game off as "pay to win"... my suggestion will kill this process.

An easier suggestion would be to remove the ability to purchase gear, rune's, and amulet's with gem's but I am not naive.. I know this feature spark's a lot of impulse buying and is very good income for your team.

Please, save your game. Cater to the new player's.

Edit: Also, please keep in mind if you widen the bracket I am suggesting.. say level's 1-6.. you'll only be providing more benefit to your game. If it were my game though and I increased the "trial" version to level 5 or 6 I'd lessen the gold and resources accumulated slightly and only give the trial member's a limited amount of map's.

I agree. I do not believe amulets and runes make your super powerful over personal skill; but I believe your bracket idea is very great. We must split the veteran farmers from the complete newbies so they have more fun.

This game isn't on Steam, at least not on NA's Steam. Also, if they did have a sale and a double xp weekend and the population is still this low it should definitely raise some alarm's. Something need's to be fixed and unfortunately it won't until they come back from vacation.
