I think a good idea would be a 'plate' tournament, where everyone who is knocked out in the early rounds of the main tournament continues to play each other for a smaller pot of crystals. Similar to the way they used to work in the Rugby world cup.

We are talking in another post to reintroduce the gold/silver league system where there is 2 tournament/week. Silver : Everyone can subcribe. The fourth best teams go into the gold league for the next tournament.
Gold : Only best teams will be there. No subscriptions, you can only get there by winning some silver league's matches. The fourth last teams go into the silver league for the next tournament.
