[SOLVED] Unable to launch the game

Post [SOLVED] Unable to launch the game
EDIT : SOLVED BY FORMATTING

Hi everyone,


I downloaded and installed the game. When i start the game using the launcher, i click on "Play" ... but nothing happens :[


Things i tried :

- Open the Port on my Firewall (the one in the config tab of the Launcher)
- I created a rule on my Windows Firewall for the game, the x64 and x32 client
- Run as administrator
- Updated my drivers


What else can i do? :x

Greetings Ashie!
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with the launcher.
It's great that you have already started finding a solution for your problem! Unfortunately there can still be many reasons for why the launcher isn't working as it supposed to be. Most likely your problem is related to user- or connection-rights. If you have not yet gone through the steps presented in the Common solutions for Lost Connection- thread, do that now (that might also affect in this specific problem you are experiencing). Go through those steps carefully and precisely.

Couple of things you could try right away:
-It might be wise to check that your antivirus program is not blocking the connection, also try to shut it down completely while trying to play Panzar.
-Are you using your PC as administrator, or are you just trying to run the game with administrator rights? If you are using the PC as regular user, you could try to log in as administrator and try that way as well.

Hi !

Thank you for your help.

Unfortunately, i did everything in the lost connection thread, and still nothing happens :[.

I checked, and no process appears in my taskmgr tab =/.

Hi again Ashie!
The thing i meant to say was that you should check the antivirus software of yours, instead of task manager. Your antivirus software might be blocking the connection and you are most likely able to edit the settings so it allows the connections properly.
Another thing you could try out is to remove the read-only attribute from the folder where the game is: Open the folder where the game has been installed (by default it is at C:\Games) and Right click on Panzar folder. Select "Properties, "Untick the "Read-only" attribute, Click "Apply", Click "OK".

If this wont help, you can provide us more information about your system by attaching dxdiag and MSInfo files to an email and send it to help@panzar.com.

Instructions for dxdiag.txt

Press simultaneously Windows key + R
Type "dxdiag" and hit enter
A popup may appear, asking about digital signatures, answer yes.
DirextX Diagnostic Tool appears, use "Save All Information" to create the file to any location where you can later find it.
Attach the file to your response.


Instructions for MSInfo.txt

Press Windows Key + R.
Type MSInfo32 and press Enter.
In the MSInfo diagnostic window, click File, then Export.
When the Export As window appears, choose Desktop.
Name the file "MSInfo" and click Save.
Attach the file to your response.

- I dont have any Antivirus program (yeah, i know, bad etc...) so no conflict here
- I did remove the Read Only thingie on the game folder

unefficient =/

Hey again Ashie!

Thank you for providing us that information.
Could you explain specifically what happens when you click the "Play" button? Does the game freeze, shut down or do anything at all?

When you are at the launcher, change the quality for the game to "Back to the 90's" (settings can be found in the upper right corner in the launcher). If this does not help you can also try out different settings, for example tick/untick the Fullscreen and such.

Hi Jsarge !

Well, when i hit "Play", the launcher closes (normal), but then, nothing happens. In any other MMO i've played, usually, what's supposed to happen is : launcher > play > launcher closes > game.exe opens. But here, nothing past the launcher closure. No CPU activity, no process launched, nothing.


Back to the 90's settings do not work either =/.

Hey once again Ashie!
We have been investigating the cause of your problems with the launcher and it seems that you have some complications related to a software in your operating system. In this case this means that you should install the files from Panzar\PnzTools\Redist\VS\ directory manually.
Those files (vcredist_x64 and vcredist_x86) are self-extracting executable files that installs the latest version of the Microsoft Visual C++ run-time files and operating system components that are required by most projects created with Visual C++ 6.0. These files include fixes that are included with Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4). This is just for your information in case you are wondering what those files are. :)
Also here are the ports you should open: 443, 45101-45107, 45200-45239.
Another thing is that you should install the game to the root directory of your system (C:). With default settings and regular installation the game should be installed there automatically.

So what you need to do is:
-install the files from Panzar\PnzTools\Redist\VS\ directory manually (navigate to panzar folder, then PnzTools folder, then VS folder and then just double click both of the files and install them.)
-open the ports described earlier

If this wont help you out, uninstall the game and install it again to the root directory of your system (C:). You can also run registry cleaner (there are several available for free) between the installations just in case.

Unfortunately, after :

- Uninstalling the game
- Uninstalling the redistribuables
- cleaning the registries
- re-downloading / installing the game
- re-giving firewall permissions
- re-opening ports
- Re-installing the redist
- Re Giving admin privileges


Aaaaaannnnd... nothing happens. :x
