For that role-play aspect. Would wouldn't like a place to zone into after an awesome battle and share your spoils of war and an ice cold brew with your teammates and friends?

That's be pretty cool. A lobby room where we can walk around with our hero's and chat. Completely unnecessary, but it'd be pretty cool. Lost Saga had this, and you could also fish for resources on that map as well.

Oh i think its necessary! If this is going to have a part label RPG its necessary and it wouldn't be THAT expensive i don't think. plus this could be where you trade, do emotes, gather for events or play music? idk if this game had this it could end up being something even more epic then i see now.

Since with playing music and doing emotes is necessary... CryEngine as a limited amount of IG player (~30 afaik). That's why we won't see any 20v20 anytime soon. So I'm not sure creating that kind of lobby wouldn't be "that expensive".
