It's really fun to play in any case. I don't like when games become very brutal like in gow3.

Really? Well it doesn't have to be on same brutal level on GoW 3, but in my opinion it's one of the biggest draws of GoW 3 is the gore/brutality I loved it.

As long as you have A LOT of Nice Juicy Red Blood I think I can live with it, it just needs some sort of violence.

Also how long does the blood/corpses stay on the floor before they despawn?

What will draw this game over to M rated would be strong language. Seeing that you cant really have a game like this without violence and blood, you would have to filter out the curses.

But really, nobody cares about the ratings anymore, because they are so strict about it. I would have to say that 60-70% of the games on the market are rated M, and those that aren't are usually specifically developed for kids. I would just make your game as you see fit, and not worry about the rating. The rating is what it is.
