So I downloaded the game and chose the berserker as my first character, figuring that it looked like a good class for easing into the game, I finish the tutorial and get some free gems with the message "only your first character on your account will earn gems". Now while I don't mind Berserker I don't see it becoming my "primary" class, the one I'll take the farthest. If I deleted my berserker and made another character would it become my "first character"? or can I change it in another way?

Normally it is your highest character that always get crystals.

If by gems you mean crystals, yes. They are account bound unlike gold or gear
