it seems when you try to gain some control point and opponent built there 2 gunners + 6 teslas, mines + 1 defender like fire mage who puts all in air - this situation becomes pretty annoying
before @lev 20 cap, probably because of points dwarf did not have it all so it was not annoying but now whole this combination sux in case you do not have fire mage with skyfire
e.g. map dwarven quarry point 3

could you review it and rejudge the balance of this feature please?

Ice Mage? The gunner builds new monkeys and teslas and stuff faster then the ice can kill it...

But it is true, sky is like the only reliable cleaner of crazy gunner setups (inquis are too stupid, mortar too expensive, chopper too easy to cancel (e.g. gravity mine or mentioned fire witch would kick him up)). Not mentioned yet is the tank with magic shield. Just let the gunners alive and let them shoot into the shield. Afterall, you also got TNT in some maps. We see, quite some classes can/could do something about it, although nothing is even close to the effectiveness, quickness and easiness of sky.

There are also other situations like this. For example, Toxic Bay without a Sapper is nearly unplayable. Or Arena without a Tank, super crap. Way too many ranged attackers shoot at the spot, a shield is a must there.

Do you understand that this game is a team game ?
Insta Freez can change a game with your teammates.
Skyfire can change a game with your teammates.
etc.

You just need to stop playing solo like everybody used to do and play with and for your team.

Tephis is right.

Good Tanks can counter Gunners and also Zerks clear full gunner camp by pressing whirlwind. They can even go afk while this stupid ability is on and come back if everything is death.

Well from my personal experience so far after hitting lvl30 last week I find playing the gunner extremely hard now, If you get a decent inq against you it is extremely hard to build anything and then when you do build anything a zerker just comes in with whirlwind and destroys everything very quickly, I have been totaly set up with gravity mines etc etc and zerker can just destroy it all easily. And if those two fail then I just get thrown a skyfire.

Now I know it may be because I am facing fully geared russian players who have been level30 for a while and my gear isnt close to being finished yet but I cannot see it making much difference.

I have spoken to a few people and have been told gunners are not used at all in tournament at level 30 and if this is truly the case then I will be quitting anyway as I only play for the tournament aspect of the game.

I still think it would be a good idea for tournaments to make it that you have to have at least one of each class and fill up last 2 spots with 2 others of your choice that way it would mean all classes have a chance at tournaments as have also been told inquisitors are rarely used also, again will wait and see.
